As Charles Darwin said, “The love for all living creatures is the noblest attribute of man.” I further state taking into account all human tendencies that whether you love an animal or not, you can’t deny the fact that they are nothing but a gift of nature and hello! We are animals too. Just because we have evolved into humans doesn’t mean we forget our roots.
People have taken care of animals
from time immemorial and yet, every time we watch an animal video on social media, our hearts
melt. Let us take a moment to realize that we have actually invaded their
territory for our comfort. The least we can do is to be kind to them.
I will share an experience: once
I waved my hand at an auto-rickshaw. My grandmother was with me and we were off
to someplace. We sat in the rickshaw. The rickshaw driver wanted to make a U-turn
but there was a dog sleeping there. He did honk but the dog did not budge.
Unfortunately, he made a U-turn by putting the dog under the front wheel of his
rickshaw. The dog, obviously, screamed and ran away. We went mad at him and
couldn’t believe it. He calmly said, “wo uth hi nahi raha tha to chala di uske
upar se.”
Contrasting is this: I know a kind-hearted person who takes care of animals like his own kids. He makes sure that
if a newborn animal is at his residence, it is fully nurtured. People call him
when they find any animals because of the assurance that he is the best person
to take care of them. He is comfortable with animals as if they have lived with
him for years.
Biologically, every animal serves
some or the other purpose making our lives simpler. Some just don’t realize this.
I know that many times, they may make things a little inconvenient but haven’t
we complicated things for them in the worst way? To add to this, many devils
treat animals in the cruelest way imaginable. I mean, look at those eyes! How is it
even possible to behave in such a way? Don’t they feel compassion when they look
at animals? Of course, the obvious answer is NO.
Through this blog, I want to
highlight that animals are an integral element of our ecosystem and even if one
doesn’t care for them, at least one can do it to let them be. If possible, do
try to do some little thing for them and see the magic of unconditional love.
And hey you! Thanks for being
here. Means a lot. If you liked reading this, do share it with others, comment
your thoughts on it and help share the optimism.

Whenever in supplication;
ReplyDeleteI raise my hand; I ask Him personally to make me a zoo keeper; so I can be with my feathered and furry friends 24x7. I can't even imagine a moment without them. You've written this blog with so much delicate feelings that I did read it twice and I could imagine myself in the auto rickshaw with you. I feel this is the strength of your words.
